OVER HONG KONG viii Ma Wan, between Tsing Yi and Lantau Island, is a key stepping-stone for the bridges of the Lantau Link that provide essential access to Hong Kong International Airport. With the opening of the bridges in 1997, the opportunity was offered to develop Park Island (2009). A feature of this estate is that it is almost traffic- free, only specially licensed vehicles are allowed on the island.
