Recently, Uncle Yau, an elderly gentleman, suddenly fainted at WTC. His breathing stopped and he lost his pulse. At this critical juncture, staff at the mall who have received training in the use of automated external defibrillator (AED) and with first-aid certificates rushed to the scene at once to help him regain consciousness with electrical therapy and cardiopulmonary resuscitation so that his heart started to beat again. They even accompanied Uncle Yau to the hospital for further treatment and expressed satisfaction at being able to apply what they have learnt and save a precious life.
