To give warm blessings to underprivileged families and the elderly during the Mid-Autumn Festival, SHKP volunteers distributed gift bags in the community.
Distributing 3,000 gift bags
In late August, under the Building Homes with Heart Caring Initiative, the SHKP Volunteer Team distributed 3,000 gift bags of festive food and anti-pandemic items, as well as stationery for children returning to school, to underprivileged families in Yuen Long and Kwun Tong. For the third consecutive year, the SHKP Volunteer Team also offered timely support in various ways, such as providing home renovation services to families in urgent need and visiting elderly residents who will be relocated under the Redevelopment of Pak Tin Estate – Neighbourhood Support Programme. Their kindness lit up the Mid-Autumn Festival for the underprivileged with joy and smiles.

Training university volunteers to provide move-in support
The SHKP Volunteer Team teaches various move-in techniques, such as home inspections and basic renovations, to university volunteers under the Redevelopment of Pak Tin Estate – Neighbourhood Support Programme to provide support to underprivileged families affected by redevelopment. The elderly residents are grateful to their heartfelt commitment.
