Since tower cranes often operate in overlapping work zones, putting into place effective anti-collision systems is a common safety practice on construction sites. With this in mind, Construction team A and Aegis Engineering together developed an anti-collision testing model that minimizes hazard risks. Their efforts in this endeavour earned them the Work Safety Gold Award.
Construction team A, Aegis Engineering: Air traffic control incidents at the Civil Aviation Department can really spread a great deal of panic. Tower crane anti-collision systems on construction sites help allay accident fears. We designed this particular model so we could run a series of tests before carrying out actual work. We plan to digitalize the model to help minimize overall costs and to get test results recorded automatically.
