The annual SHKP Vertical Run for Charity – Race to Hong Kong ICC ended on a high note in early December with over 1,900 participants taking part. While a number of SHKP colleagues competed in the races, others joined the event as cheerleaders and volunteers to create a lively sports carnival atmosphere at the International Commerce Centre (ICC).

The highlight of the entire competition was the Elite Races. Ultimately, the men's champion title went to Polish runner Piotr Lobodzinski, while Australian runner Suzy Walsham was crowned women's champion. These two also emerged as the Vertical World Circuit overall champions in the men's and women's categories, respectively.

With respect to the Team Relay races, the Corporate Relay drew the most attention among our colleagues because SHKP has been serial winners in this race event for many years. Sun Hung Kai Properties (Team A) eventually fended off stiff competition from other corporate teams and successfully defended their champion's title in a time of 12 minutes 46 seconds.

This year, Race to Hong Kong ICC welcomed over 1,900 runners, aged 10 to 75, from 38 nations and regions across the world, including participants with visual or hearing impairments, which is a fitting testament to this event's spirit of inclusion. As in previous years, all proceeds raised from the event, without any cost deductions, will be donated to support charitable causes.
