The SHKP Reading Club is constantly coming up with new ideas to engage people in the fun of reading.

Its new free multimedia reading platform linepaper debuted in July. It is accessible via diverse channels such as website, mobile app and social media and has rich content including feature stories, celebrity interviews, an English corner and columns by noted authors.

The Read to Dream programme continues taking disadvantaged students in the community to reading-related activities, one of which is the visit to the Hong Kong Book Fair, with 1,700 students benefitting this year. SHKP volunteer team members accompanied them to buy books using cash allowances from SHKP. The students also attended celebrity talks and creative workshops about writing and reading.
