Over Hong Kong

xv SUN HUNG KAI PROPERTIES Another major project that began in Wanchai in the 1980s was the development of Central Plaza. Its triangular floor plan was designed to maximise the number of offices with a harbour view. When completed, Central Plaza (1992), 374m, was the tallest in Asia and also the tallest reinforced concrete building. It is now the third tallest in Hong Kong, after two other SHKP projects, but still dominates the Wanchai skyline. New Town Tower (1989) top and Grand Central Plaza (1995) are part of SHKP’s prestigious office portfolio. Both are located in Shatin’s commercial and cultural centre with access to New Town Plaza and the Royal Park Hotel. Central Plaza (1992) New Town Tower (1989) Grand Central Plaza (1995)
