Going green at your office

30.03.2018

This current issue of the SHKP News has colleagues from Hong Chui to share with us tips on growing potted plants in the office.

Shade-tolerant plants, those that require only three hours of light a day, would be the best choice for an office environment, but remember not to grow too many because when photosynthesis does not occur at night, only carbon dioxide will be emitted and this leads to a higher carbon dioxide level indoors. Cactus is a good example of plants suitable for an office desk because it is easy to grow and can release oxygen at night. It can also absorb computer radiation and even formaldehyde.
