"Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon" is set to return on 14 October. SHKP will again serve as title and charity sponsor of this mega event for the fourth consecutive year, which will see the debut of The Hammer Series in Asia with "Hammer Hong Kong". The entry quota will also be increased in response to overwhelming public interest.

Top international teams to compete in Hammer Hong Kong

In order to reinforce Hong Kong's position as the Events Capital of Asia, we are excited to add to the Cyclothon Hammer Hong Kong this year, a UCI 1.1 race and also the series finale of the Hammer Series. Eleven UCI WorldTour Teams and three Pro Continental Teams will participate in Hammer Hong Kong. The Hong Kong National Team will also take up the challenge, enjoying a distinct hometown advantage. Hammer Hong Kong will comprise two exciting races, the Hammer Sprint and Hammer Chase, covering a distance of more than 64km. Cycling enthusiasts from all over the world are looking forward to visiting Hong Kong to watch this exciting race.

More entry quotas for cycling hobbyists

This year, the entry quota for the 50km and 30km ride will be increased to 3,100 and 1,800, respectively. To promote youth exchange across the Greater Bay Area, SHKP will also introduce a new cycling event - the "SHKP Greater Bay Area Youth Trophy" - as part of the 50km activity. Young riders from 11 member cities within the Greater Bay Area will be invited to join.

Priority registration for SHKP employees

SHKP has reserved some quotas for our colleagues and their families to have priority registration. To encourage active participation, staff can take part in the event with fully subsidization of the registration fee, and receive a uniquely designed cycling jersey.
