To promote cycling among local schools, SHKP recently sponsored and established the "SHKP Cycling Academy". A "Pilot Scheme" has also been launched in order to enhance cycling skills and safety awareness among young people as well as unearth cycling talents to be the "future successors" of the Hong Kong Cycling Team. Secondary school students are offered the chance to receive professional cycling training from former Hong Kong Team members and registered track cycling coaches of the Cycling Association of Hong Kong, China. 200 students are expected to take part this academic year.
