Since the novel coronavirus outbreak, SHKP has taken various measures to prevent and combat the epidemic.  Recently, it successfully purchased surgical masks from overseas. The company swiftly distributed the masks to SHKP colleagues, the Hospital Authority and various social welfare organizations to help in the fight against the coronavirus.

The company cares for its staff. It provided over 300,000 surgical masks for all headquarters staff and frontline staff of its subsidiaries within days of receiving them. SHKP also donated and delivered 280,000 surgical masks to the Hospital Authority. In view of the needs of specific disadvantaged groups in society, such as the elderly, underprivileged families, and children with illnesses, SHKP donated about 40,000 surgical masks to seven organizations, including the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council, the Hong Chi Association, and the J Life Foundation. SHKP volunteers delivered the surgical masks to the offices of the various social welfare organizations, and the organizations will distribute the masks to people in urgent need in the coming days.
