Malls are not only a place for leisure and shopping, they can also be a place for consolation.
In the bustling Tai Po Mega Mall, a customer who made an enquiry caught the attention of Ashley, a Customer Service Officer, because he looked terribly upset. Her job only required her to answer queries, but Ashley chose to take an extra step. Maybe the customer had suppressed his sorrow for too long, so he told Ashley everything. He said he felt depressed, as he had been unemployed for some time. He added that he was visiting the mall to buy a new suit for job interviews. She then invited him to join the mall's lucky draw, and he won a prize! Ashley cheered him up, saying, "This proves your luck is back. Believe in yourself. You'll land a new job soon for sure!"
A few days later, the customer looked for Ashley at the Customer Care Centre and happily told her he had found a job. He said he was very grateful for Ashley's encouragement, which relieved his stress and helped him regain confidence. Putting customers first is not rocket science. Even a small gesture of kindness can have a big impact.
