This year marks the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland, as well as the 50th anniversary of SHKP's public listing in Hong Kong. In this special year, sky100, a subsidiary of SHKP, has collaborated with Japan's nanoblock to launch the world's first limited edition "sky100 x nanoblock Hong Kong Skyline model" to demonstrate the prosperous development of Hong Kong since its return to the motherland and the Group’s commitment to developing Hong Kong with the longstanding belief in Building Homes with Heart. Since its sale has commenced, the model has been acclaimed as an exceptional collectible by many model enthusiasts.
The launch of the miniature model is a government-accredited event to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Comprising 2,190 micro-sized building blocks, the model presents many iconic buildings along Victoria Harbour, including the three tallest buildings in Hong Kong, developed by SHKP – ICC, Two IFC and Central Plaza – and shows the world-famous, captivating skyline, with the impressive "Victoria Harbour Gateway" formed by ICC and Two IFC. The model also displays other landmarks, including Sun Hung Kai Centre, which is SHKP's headquarters, The Central Government Complex of the HKSAR, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower, the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, and the Hong Kong Space Museum.
SHKP Executive Director Christopher Kwok said, "To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland, we especially present the 'sky100 x nanoblock Hong Kong Skyline model' for all to enjoy. I think people will experience a great sense of joy and satisfaction as they build the Hong Kong skyline model with their own hands. In the past half century, the Group has developed many premium residential and commercial properties and has always remained confident in Hong Kong. The Group will continue to contribute to the development of the city and help Hong Kong integrate into the national development."
He said, "We are very pleased to collaborate with nanoblock, a renowned toy manufacturer in Japan, on this project. Comprising micro-sized blocks, the model displays the contours and detailed features of carefully picked iconic buildings, including Hong Kong's three tallest commercial buildings. It is a good showcase of the city’s status as an international financial centre, as well as an exceptional collectible that everyone should not miss out."
To provide the public with an opportunity to appreciate the world's first nanoblock Hong Kong skyline model, SHKP will exhibit the model at different SHKP malls and landmark buildings, namely New Town Plaza Phase III, YOHO Mall I, APM, ICC, IFC, Sun Hung Kai Centre, Central Plaza, and from End August onwards at East Point City, Metroplaza and V City.

Superpower develops 'Smart Ventilation Blind System' to protect electrical and mechanical facilities from flooding
24.05.2022
In recent years, as a result of global climate change, the probability of the occurrence of super typhoons and rainstorms in Hong Kong has increased, which may trigger severe flooding and threaten lives and property. To mitigate this potential risk, Superpower Pumping Engineering Co. Ltd, a subsidiary of Hong Yip, leveraged Internet of Things (IoT) technology to develop the 'Smart Ventilation Blind System'. When a rainstorm or typhoon is approaching, the system automatically closes the ventilation blind of the buildings' electrical and mechanical rooms (E&M rooms). Under close real-time monitoring, the electrical and mechanical installations are securely protected.
In recognition of developing the innovative 'Smart Ventilation Blind System', Superpower won the gold award in this year's SHKP Work Safety Suggestion Scheme. The 'Smart Ventilation Blind System' was installed in the company's property St Moritz in Sha Tin, with satisfactory results.
'Smart Ventilation Blind System' Attributes
1. Sensors are installed on the ventilation blind to detect the flooding round the clock
2. If the water level reaches the sensor, the ventilation blind will be automatically closed to prevent rainwater from entering the electrical and mechanical room
3. A flood alarm flashes a red warning light and buzzes simultaneously
4. Property management staff can remotely monitor the situation in real time using their smartphones, which are connected to the CCTVs and flood alert

Newly launched mobile app Work e-asy provides premium services for office building tenants on the mainland
12.05.2022
SHKP is committed to enhancing service quality for its tenants. Recently, the company launched a new mobile app, called Work e-asy, which is dedicated to its office buildings on the mainland. The app provides more effective and personalized property management services to the tenants of SHKP's five flagship buildings in eastern China: Shanghai IFC, Shanghai ICC, ITC, Shanghai Central Plaza and Nanjing IFC.
Work e-asy incorporates the most commonly used functions with a customized interface. Tenants can use the app to request various services, including maintenance, additional air conditioning, cargo lift booking and visitor registration, without the need for direct contact with property management staff, and they can track the progress of their requests in real time. Work e-asy also provides tenants with one-stop attentive service. Through the app, tenants can instantly receive the latest property notices, opening announcements of new shops in SHKP malls and exclusive offers, and make reservations at restaurants in the malls.
To help ensure social distancing amid the pandemic, tenants can now use the advanced facial recognition system in Work e-asy to enter their buildings. Additionally, to replace the traditional visitor pass, tenants can use their smartphones to send their personalized QR code to visitors in an SMS message. These functions fulfil the need for security protection, while providing more convenient access to the buildings for tenants and visitors.
Work e-asy now covers 98% of office tenants and has become an indispensable app for them. We remain in close communication with tenants and will upgrade the platform regularly to create a better user experience.
