Strive and Rise Programme – Exploring emerging sports at GO PARK Sai Sha 07.01.2025 SHKP is dedicated to nurturing young talent through its support of the Government's Strive and Rise Programme initiative. For two consecutive terms, over 200 colleagues have volunteered as mentors each year. In 2025, the company will continue its involvement, with over 220 colleagues already signed up! Last month, the company welcomed about 70 mentors and mentees to GO PARK Sai Sha, which will open soon. Under the guidance of professional coaches, the participants expanded their horizons and had an exciting day of exploring emerging sports like padel, pickleball and outdoor climbing. This was followed by a delightful lunch, set against the picturesque scenery of GO PARK Sai Sha. The event helped foster connections and create joyful memories for all participants.

SHKP Reading Club sponsors over 40 secondary students for a Shenzhen study tour 12.12.2024 The SHKP Reading Club sponsored over 40 students and teachers from seven Hong Kong secondary schools for a study tour to Shenzhen at the end of November. The initiative, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Publishing Federation and part of Shenzhen Reading Month and the "SZ&HK Co-Reading" programme. The participants had a great time exploring aerospace science at the Space Science and Technology Institute (Shenzhen) and visiting the "Palace Museum Collections × Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage", which opened earlier last month. Supporting the Community Chest Dress Casual Day 14.11.2024 Nearly 300 colleagues from about 20 departments took part in the annual Community Chest Dress Casual Day on 31 October. Everyone enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere, dressing in light, casual outfits to help raise funds for charity.

SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation acknowledged by Sun Yat-sen University for its contributions to higher education 05.11.2024 The SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation received a Yatsen Outstanding Education Award from Sun Yat-sen University in recognition of its contributions to higher education and its years of support for the university, which has helped nurture talent for the country. This prestigious award was presented for the first time in Hong Kong.

About 6,000 cyclists hit the roads for the Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon 31.10.2024 Play/Pause Stop Mute/Unmute Vol+ Vol- Fullscreen The annual Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon, held on 13 October, attracted about 6,000 cyclists. This year's Cyclothon featured six cycling experiences and races, including 50km and 32km rides, and the City Cycling Challenge around the Greater Bay Area (Hong Kong). In addition, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) hosted a carnival for the first time in the West Kowloon Cultural District as part of the Cyclothon. Large-scale photo installations, a cycling-themed market, sports experiences and delicious food at the carnival brought the excitement of cycling to sports enthusiasts of all levels in the city. The HKTB estimated that a total of 36,000 people participated in the Cyclothon races and the carnival. In keeping with the spirit of Sports for Charity, donations raised from the Cyclothon and SHKP's top-up contribution will support those in need through The Community Chest of Hong Kong. The event also attracted about 400 SHKP cyclists and many famous athletes, including four-time Tour de France champion Chris Froome, who made his debut in Hong Kong. He remarked that the stunning cityscape along the route was truly unforgettable. The day before the Cyclothon, SHKP invited Chris Froome to visit GO PARK Sai Sha, which is in trial operation. He praised the development for perfectly blending in with the environment and was impressed by its diverse, professional sports facilities. He rode the balance bike with the children and shared his cycling experience with his fans and young Hong Kong cyclists, encouraging them to pursue their dreams.

Building Homes with Heart Caring Initiative celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival 27.09.2024 As part of SHKP's Building Homes with Heart Caring Initiative, our volunteer team shared the festive job of the Mid-Autumn Festival with underprivileged families in Tsuen Wan District and the elderly in Sham Shui Po District in mid-September. Our volunteers visited the Caritas Community Centre in Tsuen Wan, where they played interactive games with the families. They also gave them festive gift bags with food such as mooncakes and stationery for the children. The volunteers also visited elderly residents in Sham Shui Po's Pak Tin Estate and distributed the gift bags as a gesture of warmth and care.

Second batch of students for SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation x PolyU Building Homes with Heart Scholarship Programme 24.09.2024 The Building Homes with Heart Scholarship Programme, jointly initiated by the SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation and PolyU, has welcomed its second batch of students, awarding scholarships to nine outstanding PolyU students pursuing studies in construction, real estate or engineering-related disciplines. To broaden their horizons and provide them with insights into SHKP's corporate culture and iconic developments, a site visit to GO PARK Sai Sha, a mega sports-and-commercial complex, was arranged for the recipients. The SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation is committed to nurturing talent, and PolyU has been a cradle for cultivating talent for the construction and engineering industries. Many SHKP's senior executives are PolyU graduates. Over the past five years, SHKP's construction department has recruited about 200 interns from the university. In the award ceremony held in late August, SHKP Executive Director Adam Kwok said: "The SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation and PolyU established the Building Homes with Heart Scholarship Programme to support exceptional PolyU students. The programme showcases the strong partnership between SHKP and PolyU in fostering collaboration between the industry and the academic sector to develop talent." He expressed gratitude for PolyU's long-standing support and hoped that they would continue to nurture high-calibre talent for Hong Kong and the country.

SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation supports Zhejiang University to nurture top talent 03.12.2024 The SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation established scholarship programmes to support Zhejiang University in nurturing top talent. Recently, the Foundation expanded funding for the postgraduate scholarship, so that recipients of the undergraduate scholarship are eligible to receive funding to pursue postgraduate studies at designated universities. In the middle of last year, Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang University Committee Ren Shaobo (fifth right) visited SHKP's headquarters in Hong Kong to express his gratitude to the Foundation. He also appointed SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation Executive Director Amy Kwok (fifth left) as a member of the 4th Hong Kong Zhejiang University Education Foundation Council in recognition of her support and contributions to the university. Ms Kwok was honoured to receive the appointment and said that the Foundation had expanded the scope of the postgraduate programme to the recipients of the undergraduate scholarship to support their postgraduate studies at designated universities. The programme expansion helps reduce their financial burden, allowing them to concentrate on their studies.

SHKP volunteers recognized for their professionalism and commitment 28.08.2024 The SHKP Volunteer Team and The Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council launched a one-year programme aimed at improving the homes of the elderly. Over the past year, SHKP volunteers conducted home safety and hygiene assessments for about 100 elderly households in Tuen Mun and Wong Tai Sin. The team utilized their expertise to provide various small-scale home repairs, including replacing electrical plug sockets, lamp holders and light bulbs. The team also sponsored pest control and lice eradication to ensure the well-being for the elderly. The volunteer team's contributions were recognized at the Construction Industry Volunteer Award Scheme 2024 organized by the Construction Industry Council. The team was honoured with a Most Supportive Organization Award and the gold award in the corporate section of the Construction Industry Sports & Volunteering Programme (CISVP) Corporate Award for Activeness. Our passionate volunteers also won an Outstanding Construction Industry Volunteer Award and an Outstanding Youth Volunteers in Construction Industry Award.
